1. Start with what you actually need
Before shopping, write down how you will use the device. Email, schoolwork or video calls need different features from demanding games. For headphones, consider comfort and the right connection. A familiar brand or an extra feature does not automatically make a product more suitable. Separate essentials from nice-to-haves.
2. Set a total budget, not just a purchase price
Decide how much you can spend on the entire purchase. Include a necessary charger, cable, remote or replacement part. Consider transport and running costs too. If you do not know those costs yet, find out first. A low price on the box may otherwise still exceed your budget.
3. Do you need the device to work straight away?
If you urgently need a device and cannot afford extra costs, certainty matters. An untested return may be less suitable than an alternative with known functionality. Ask what is known about the particular item. If you cannot assess functionality or an essential part, take time to compare another option.
Use the checklist for a returned item’s condition and completeness.
4. Compare a simpler new model too
Compare the same version when checking a returned item’s new-item price. Also compare a simpler new device that meets your needs. A more expensive model with a large price difference is not automatically the best choice. Consider total costs, known condition and included parts. You do not need a premium product if a simpler device suits you.
5. Think about costs after buying
Vacuum-cleaner bags and filters can be recurring costs. Coffee machines may need maintenance products or specific capsules. Check whether parts are still available and what they cost. Compare before buying so an affordable device does not turn out to be expensive to use.
6. Check the item’s price on that day
FLIP explains daily prices and premium products separately. Do not assume every item has the same price or exceptions. The final pricing schedule will follow before opening. Use the information for the specific product and ask if anything is unclear. An online new-item price is a comparison, not a previous FLIP price.
7. Prepare for your visit to Rotterdam Zuidplein
FLIP’s opening in Winkelcentrum Zuidplein is planned for December 2026. We sell from changing return lots, mainly electronics, audio and small home appliances. This guide is not a stock list. Before visiting, check confirmed opening information on our store page. Bring your questions and budget, and keep product information and your receipt when buying.
Good to know
Is the cheapest item always the best choice?
No. A missing part or unknown functionality may bring extra costs or uncertainty. Compare the total amount and whether the device meets your needs.
Can I reserve a product within my budget in advance?
This website does not provide a current stock list or reservations. The range depends on incoming deliveries. Opening is planned for December 2026, with the exact day and hours to follow.
What if I need the device immediately?
Ask what is known about functionality and completeness. Information remains unknown for an untested item. Compare an alternative if you cannot accommodate that uncertainty or possible extra costs.
