A laptop.
That suits you.

Schoolwork, working from home or games?

Start with the programs you need. Writing documents and video calls require different features from video editing or demanding games. Check requirements from your school, employer or software and compare them with the exact model’s processor, memory and storage. A gaming laptop may also be heavier than you want for daily travel around Rotterdam. A simpler device that handles your work can be a more useful comparison than the most expensive model with the largest price gap.

The correct charger belongs in your total budget

Ask which power supply is included and whether it matches this version. A plug that fits does not prove the power supply is suitable. A USB-C port does not automatically mean every USB-C charger can charge the laptop. Check the manufacturer’s instructions. Look at the keyboard too: layouts and languages can differ. If you need another charger or a keyboard solution, include those costs before deciding.

Consider battery, screen and hinges separately

A tidy exterior says little about battery life. Ask what is known and whether any information has been recorded. Look for visible damage to the screen, case and hinges. Ask about known information on keys, camera, Wi-Fi and ports. Questions remain open with an untested device. If you need the laptop immediately for classes or work, that uncertainty matters more.

Read what returned, refurbished and untested mean.

Check the operating system too

An installed operating system is not enough to establish whether a laptop suits you. Check whether your software works on it and what support is available for this version. Microsoft publishes system requirements for Windows 11. Check the exact device against them rather than assuming every older laptop qualifies. Ask about any account or management lock as well. Avoid choosing a device whose normal setup is unclear.

Looking for a laptop in Rotterdam Zuidplein

FLIP’s opening in Winkelcentrum Zuidplein is planned for December 2026. Bring your software requirements and total budget when looking for a laptop. Stock depends on incoming lots, so there is no guaranteed selection for students, home workers or gamers. Purchases are in-store. A new-item price at Amazon or bol is a comparison with that seller, not a previous FLIP price.
